CE Presentation: NEW DRUG UPDATE PRESENTED BY DANIELLE EZZO
                               & EMILY AMBIZAS.
                       Some drugs discussed were  Januvia, Tekturna, Chantix & Amitizia.
Minutes:      Minutes have been approved and will be posted `on the website.

Treasurer Report:   Account is in the black & approved by Chairman of the Board.

Committee Reports
Newsletter Report:  Fran has been doing a fantastic job with the newletter.
Legislative Report: Ray mentioned there is no longer a moratorium for 3 years of
                              CE requirements for Pharmacists. It is now 1 year. There is a
                              Senator  sponsoring a bill to get PMB Transparency on board.
                              There wil be an important meeting on Sept. 20th on Medicare. Joe
                              mentioned that  the NYCPS.org website is in the process of being
                              changed to a more friendly modern site.   It  is strongly advisable
                               that New York City pharmacists join PSSNY.
PSSNY Report: Joe announced that the June PSSNY Convention broke all records
                            with an unbelievable turn out!  Next year there will be a  70’s theme.
                            There will be new CE requirements for new graduates.

                            Be careful of billing Medicaid for patients that are deceased.
                            August 2007 the Drug Price Lists are due.  Here is the website:

Board of Pharmacy Report:  Danny said  the last meeting in Albany was held on
                            August 21, 2008 in  Albany & that anyone can attend the meetings.
                            There are  individuals pretending to be Pharmacists.  Lawrence                 
                             Mokhiber has been volunteering in Guatemala.  Charlie made a                                   
                             Motion to donate $500.00 to Mr. Mokhiber & was granted.
                             Danny said they also spoke about  clinic pharmacies
                             but there are no answers yet.  Danny said to  make sure       
                            you are looking  at  Doctor  DEA’s & that  they are correct.
                            Also, make sure you are reporting proper serial numbers.

Old Business:  CMS Update. Medicare 2008 is on its way, recipients are receiving
                        letters on status changes. Copays & deductibles are going up, Charlie
                       will have more information available at the next meeting.
New Business: Ray is relinquishing his title as membership chairman  &  we
                         will need a co-chair to help Stefanie .  The  Chistmas party will be                                      
                          held on  December 13, 2007 at Caffe on the Green.     
                         The Dinner Dance will be held on March 29th.  Invitations will
                          be sent out in November. We will have nominations at the next 
                           meeting for any new positions for officers.
                       **IPS President Stefanie Vitale is this years honoree.
Good & Welfare:  Congratulations to Board Member Germaine Celentano on her
                           recent engagement to Dr. Anthony Commentucci.
                           Congratulations to Stefanie Guzman on passing the New York
                           State Pharmacy Boards!!
                           Congratulations to Vito on the birth of his 3rd child!
