CE Presentation: Combat Methamphetamine
                    Presented by Craig M. Burridge, MS, CAE, Executive Director, PSSNY
                               
Secretary Report:    Minutes have been approved and will be posted on website.

Treasurer Report:   Account is in the black & approved by Chairman of the Board.

 Introduction of New Members :    We had 1 new student member present.

Committee Reports:      :
     Membership Report:  We have 100 paid members to date.
   
     Newsletter Report: The newsletter has been mailed out.
   
     Continuing Education Report: There will be a CE for September’s  meeting .  
            Home diagnostics will sponsor. 
     State Board of Pharmacy Report: Danny reported 600 candidates taking to New
            York  State Pharmacy Boards.  The most candidates they’ve had in 6 years.
   
    Legislative Report:  PBM registration and transparency bill is in the senate. We
          urge all members to call their senators to show support for this important bill.            
 
   Medicare Report: Deadline for Medicare Accreditation has been changed to July
          23rd.  The competitive bidding date is now changed to January 2009.
          Federal legislation to delay AMP will soon be voted on by the senate. The bill was
          recently pulled off the senate floor due to lack of veto proof support of the bill. 

   PSSNY Report:. PSSNY Convention will be held on June 26-29 in Lake George.
          Ray mentioned there was an emergency Medicaid meeting 3 weeks ago and about
          250 people attended. This meeting raised about 315,000 dollars to be used to fight
         the constant Medicaid cuts that pharmacies have been forced to accept over the last
         several years. There will be a push to attempt to increase the current dispensing
         fees for Medicaid, ADAP, and Epic prescriptions. The chain drug stores did not
         contribute any money or offer any help to help solve these current problems.
          
  
                    
Old BusinessForms for nominees were distributed for next years dinner dance honoree.

New Business : Annual ACQC (Aids Coalition) Golf Benefit will be held on June 24 2008.

  1. Ken mentioned the Bronxville Youth Council are looking for a 

donation to support the soldiers in Iraq.  Ray made a motion to donate $499.
