ACTION ITEMS

CE Presentation: Nutritional Approaches to Cholesterol Management, presented by
                              Robert Lukasik.
Minutes:  Minutes have been approved and will be posted on the website.

Treasurer Report:  Account is in the black and approved by Chairman of the Board.
Committee Reports: 

• Membership Committee: 145 paid members to date.
• Newsletter Committee:  If anyone has any pictures of the dinner dance please send them to Fran so she can put them in our next newsletter.

Legislative Report:  Several topics were discussed on a new bill Schumer is supporting called The Prompt Payment Bill and also PBM Transparency, a form of business practice involving full disclosure of costs and revenues allowing the customer to make more well informed decisions regarding purchases.
PSSNY Report:  Joe urged us to all get involved in the changes taking place in the Pharmaceutical world by calling our senators so that our voice is heard.  IPS website has a link to who your representatives are.
PSSNY has a lawsuit against Medicaid office that has been transferred to MIC office in Albany over billing back dollars.

Board of Pharmacy Report:  Certification of technicians is being pushed and will happen in the future.  The bill for Pharmacists as immunizers is still out there.
Counterfeiting is a big issue right now.
Old Business:  Please get your PSSNY ballads out and support Mike Agovino &
Joe Navarra.   PSSNY convention (Mardi Gras Madness) is June 27- July 1st. There will be 8 hours of CE.  NPI numbers required by May 23, 2007.
New Business:   Next CE meeting will be held on June 14, 2007.  We will discuss the Klondike Boat Ride for September.
