Minutes:    Minutes have been approved and will be posted on website.

Treasurer Report:   Account is in the black & approved by Chairman of the Board.
                    
Committee Reports:

• Membership Report: 95 paid members to date.

• Newsletter Report:  Newsletter is at the printer & will be out shortly.

• Continuing Education Report: We will be having  a CE next month on

• Legislative Report:  The new Medicaid reimbursement will be AWP – 16.25% with no increase in the dispensing fee. The copay will go from 3.00 to 1.00 for preferred drugs. PSSNY is fighting for an increase in the dispensing fee.

• PSSNY Report:  PSSNY convention will be June 25-28th and it will have a 70’s theme. PSSNY has entered into an agreement with a company named Energy Plus that allows PSSNY members to get a discount on their energy bills.

• Board of pharmacy Report: Bill that will eliminate requirement of being a US citizen to be a Pharmacist.    

• Medicare Report  Must be accredited to bill Medicare part B by September 2009. There will soon be a bidding process to supply most items covered by Medicare part B.  Diabetic testing strips and lancets will not be part of the bidding process.
• Dinner Dance Report:  This years dinner dance was a success. We had 320 people present.  Next years dinner dance will be on March 28, 20009.

Old Business:  IPS made a donation to LKS Relay for Life where Lisa Anzisi was honored. Our donation helped them raise over $10,000.
New Business :  Charles Catalano will become President of NYC Society of Pharmacists on July 1 , 2008. Congrats !! 
Good and Welfare-  Board Member Maria Celentano became engaged to Major James.
