Meeting Minutes

1.CE PROGRAM: UPDATE AND TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR INSOMNIA.
Secretary Report: Minutes have been approved and will be posted on website.
Treasurer Report: Account is in the black & approved by Chairman of the Board.
Introduction of New Members: There were no new members present.
Committee Reports:
- Membership Report : We have 41 paid members to date.
-Legislative Report: Joe reported on a great turn out on Independent Pharmacy Owners Day which was held on March 3rd. There were over 150 owners
present.
Medicaid had a request for a proposal (RFP) to have injectable drugs to come from specialty mail order Pharmacies.
:
- PSSNY Report:-PSSNY convention will be June 24- 27, 2009 at Villa Roma. There will be 8 hours of CE, CPR, & an update on Immunization.
- PSSNY is raising PAC money & any contribution is appreciated because we get our legislators attention..
- Dinner Dance: We have 140 confirmed guests attending the dinner dance.
This years sponsors are as follows: band- Cardinal; cocktail hour -Kinray; trip to Italy- Amerisource; vienese- McKesson
caricatures-Mega Returns; digital photography-HD Smith; martini bar- OPUS.

-Scholarship Report: We had about 10 applicants for each scholarship this year. Winners will be chosen this evening.
-Journal Ad Report: Roger reported that out of 120 people who placed ads last year, he doesn't even have half yet. So please
help in getting those ads..
Old Business: Dinner Dance is March 28, 2009 at Leonard's.
New Business: Congratulations to IPS member Dina Scinto on her fellowship.
Good & Welfare: Hope to see you all at the Dinner Dance!
