Treasurer Report:   Account is in the black & approved by Chairman of the Board.
                    
Introduction of New Members: There were 2  new members present.

Introduction of Committee Chairs:

• Membership: Jaclyn Szalacsi
• Newsletter: Fran Gatto
• Continuing Education: Fran Aurrichio
• Legislative: Ray Macioci
• PSSNY: Joe Navarra
• State Board: Dan Molino
• Medicare: Charles Catalano
• Scholarship: Stephanie Guzman
• Dinner Dance: Joseph Navarra
• Journal Ads: Roger Paganelli

Committee Reports:      :

• Membership Report:  Jackie will up date membership for next meeting.
• Newsletter Report: -If anyone has anything for the newsletter, you should contact Fran.
• Legislative Report:  - Joe discussed Pharmacist as immunizers.

- Inspector General requires maximum daily dose on all
  prescriptions for Class 2-5 drugs.
      -  RX without date is not legal.
      - Must have business name on label.

• PSSNY Report: - PSSNY ballads should be coming, IPS is supporting 

                            David Statnick for 1st Vice-president.
                           -The PSSNY convention  will be held on June 25-29 at  Lake George & will be “That 70’s” theme.
                    Mid-Winter Conference- Joe, Stefanie, Bill & Charlie successfully completed their training to become  immunizers.

• Board of Pharmacy Report:  Dan reported at last meeting they discussed  counterfeiting of drugs & how they can prevent it.
                           Mr. Mokhiber thought it was necessary to bring wholesaler in on this & they demonstrated a strong will to fight it.
                           Part 3 of the Pharmacy State Exam had 166 candidates         

• Medicare Report:  - There are many formulary restrictions & prior authorizations required for Part D plans for 2008.

• Scholarship Report:  Scholarship applications have been sent out.
• Also, Anthony made a motion to change Elio Liscio Scholarship to 6th year students, Joe seconds the motion.

• Dinner Dance Report:   Saturday,  March 29, 2008  at Leonards of Great Neck.
• Journal Ad Report:  Everyone is asked to get as many ads as possible and are due by  March 1, 2008.

• 
  Old Business:

• Response from Board of Pharmacy about changing a prescription  "mid-stream” from a brand name product to a newly released generic.
• Christmas Party

                     
New Business :

• Distribute  journal ad forms.
• Dinner Dance:  Saturday, March 29, 2008

• Congratulations to Anthony on his first meeting.
• Good Luck to Beatrice on the up coming birth of her baby.
• Congratulations to Stefanie, Joe, Charlie, Bill on their certification as immunizers.
