1.CE PROGRAM: THE NEXT STEPS IN HELPING TO MANAGE ADULTS
WITH UNRESOLVED SYMPTONS OF DEPRESSION.
PRESENTED BY ROBERT LEVY, MD
Secretary Report: Minutes have been approved and will be posted on website.
Treasurer Report: Account is in the black & approved by Chairman of the Board.
Introduction of New Members: There were 2 new members present.
Committee Reports:
Membership Report : We have 108 paid members to date.
Newsletter Report: Everyone should have received Winter Newsletter.
Board of Pharmacy: Dan reported that there are 450 new Pharmacists graduating this
coming year.
Also, preceptor sites are needed for St. Johns & LIU.
Legislative Report: Charlie reported he had a meeting with Assemblyman Gottfried.
There will be Budget cuts that eliminate the existing Medicaid
wrap around of Part D plans.
** TUESDAY, MARCH 3RD IS INDEPENDENT PHARMACY OWNER'S
LEGISLATIVE DAY.
Medicare Report: Charlie said to watch 3rd party reimbursements.
PSSNY Report: Midwinter Conference was held in January in Saratoga.
PSSNY Luau will be held on June 24-28 at Villa Roma.
Joe Navarra will be inducted as President.
Old Business: IPS Christmas Party did not meet minimum number of people.
We need to decide on a new place for 2009 Christmas Party.
New Business: IPS DINNER DANCE IS SATURDAY MARCH 28, 2009 AT
LEONARDS OF GREATNECK
Invites have been ordered & Jim Schiffer is this years honoree.
